Description

Teltonika RUT241: compact 4G for everyday connectivity

The Teltonika RUT241 is a refined version of the popular RUT240, keeping its best features while improving performance. It’s a small aluminum router with 4G LTE Cat 4, eSIM, Wi-Fi, two Ethernet ports and digital I/O, built for IoT and M2M jobs where you need reliable internet without a large box.

Use it as the main connection where there’s no fixed line, or as automatic backup that takes over when the wired internet drops. Teltonika’s Remote Management System (RMS) lets you monitor it, change settings and update firmware without a site visit.

Where the RUT241 fits

  • Backup internet: sits beside a store or office line and takes over automatically when it fails, so card payments and phones keep working. See retail connectivity.
  • Kiosks and vending: small enough to mount inside the unit and keep sales and telemetry online.
  • Remote monitoring: the digital input and output can trigger alerts or switch equipment, such as a pump or a gate, from anywhere.
  • Digital signage and small sites: Wi-Fi plus two Ethernet ports covers a screen, a payment terminal and a staff device.

Teltonika RUT241 FAQs

Does the RUT241 work on US networks?

Yes. The RUT241 is FCC and PTCRB certified and approved by AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and UScellular. With a Titus multi-carrier SIM it connects to AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile and uses the strongest signal.

How many SIM cards does the RUT241 take?

One physical SIM, plus eSIM with up to seven profiles. It can switch between them automatically, and you can change carrier remotely through RMS. If you want two physical SIMs, choose the RUT951. A Titus multi-carrier SIM gives the RUT241 access to all three major networks on a single SIM.

Can the RUT241 be used as backup internet?

Yes. Connect your wired internet to the WAN port and the RUT241 switches to 4G automatically if that line goes down, then switches back when it returns.

Does the RUT241 support PoE?

No. It’s powered from its 9 to 30 V DC socket using the included power supply. For PoE in and out, look at the RUTM20.

What can the digital input and output be used for?

The input can detect a contact closing, such as a door sensor or alarm, and send an alert. The output can switch equipment on or off remotely.

Can you ship the RUT241 pre-configured?

Yes. Order it with a Titus SIM and we’ll install the SIM, set up the private APN, VPN and your security settings, and test it before it ships.
